St Peter’s College is a young college that offers a relevant yet diverse education in a co-educational environment. Although we strive for academic excellence, it is our philosophy to prepare our young people holistically and direct their future focused on their strengths and interests.
St Peter’s College boasts a 100% pass rate and generally more than 90% of our students attain a university entrance. We are proud to have students whose results are in the top 1% of candidates in the IEB final matric exam. Our students attend both local and international universities. At university, our students cope well with the demands of tertiary education. Many of our students make the dean’s list and have received prestigious scholarships, such as the Rhodes Scholarship.
Our teachers are committed to providing a sound education where lifelong learning is important and necessary. As a Head of Academics, lifelong learning is important to me. I studied teaching, taught for 10 years and then returned to university to complete my honours degree. This can be said for many staff members, who are completing master's degrees and doctorates. We want the students of St Peter’s to know how important it is to be a lifelong learner.
Finally, words of wisdom from Nelson Mandela: “Education is the most lethal weapon, because with it you can change the world.” Our students are encouraged to be the change they would like to see in the world and the education that they receive at the college helps them to be these agents of change.
