ST PETER'S PREP SCHOOLS: THE DIFFERENCE...PART 5

Some of us are born with simply extraordinary talent.  This type proficiency normally only achieved by a handful of adults usually results in two responses.  We are either inspired to develop our own talents or we are simply overwhelmed and say, ‘I could never do that’.  In the main though, most associate such brilliance with success.

St Peter's Prep Schools: The Difference... Part 2

The enormous effect of environment on intelligence in the early years is one of the main drivers for the opening of our own St Peter’s Pre-Prep.  Early Childhood Development (ECD) encompasses physical, socio-emotional, cognitive and motor development between 0 to 8 years of age.

St Peter's Prep seeks guidance from three medical experts in its response to Covid-19 on campus

The appearance of the Covid-19 virus in South Africa produced a deluge of news:  articles, opinions and statistics.  Anxiety gripped society which seemed obsessed with the worst predictions, serving only to heighten fear.  We quickly realised that dealing with the panic would be likely to be more taxing than dealing with the effect of the virus itself at School.

St Peter's College Social Media

Not so long ago, at least from your parents’ perspective, social media was not part of society. There were traditional media, and there was a social connection, and neither had any real relevance to the other. Information was shared face-to-face, over the phone, in a letter, or via the grapevine.

Covid-19 update

College Parents' Association Old Boys Old Girls  March 30, 2020 | St Peter's College - Covid-19 update

The school’s enforced period of closure - and the extraordinary circumstances that have brought this about - brings a great sense of sadness, uncertainty, and concern for us all. St Peter’s College, however, is an incredibly optimistic place. Despite this being a very trying time, it has also been one full of hope. The students have been a marvel - cheery, positive and wonderfully kind to one another, albeit online. The whole St Peter’s College community has also really rallied round, and I want to thank every single parent who has taken the time to say a kind word, or send a short email of thanks to our staff during this period.

As dawn breaks on Saturday, 22 June, our school starts to come alive with the familiar hustle and bustle of a St Peter’s ‘get-together’.  It’s only been 24 hours since the winter solstice and already the blue skies and balmy sunshine seem to indicate the approach of summer.

Winter Warmers, is one of many St Peter’s Prep social events and a firm favourite for a relaxed afternoon of chilled chit-chat with other families.
