The year has certainly started in its usual madness, with the 2020 AGM and the New Parent's braai already have taken place and the planning for the Golf Day in full swing.
We are sad to see some of the active 'oldies' leave the PA, but are very happy to welcome two new mom's (Julie Webb and Kirsty) onto the PA.
Dene van Rensburg is still our volunteer co-ordinator and is now also the Vice-Chairman of the PA. We are ever grateful for her role, and for taking up the Vice-Chairman position.
Andrew Dunn will continue to manage the loyalty partners (MySchool and Makro), so if you have any queries as to how to get your cards moved over to benefit St Peter's College, please give him a call, and he will assist you.
We are still pushing forward with the Golf Day, and have a few four balls still available. Thank you very much for the parents who have supported this day so far. There is an immense amount of work that goes into running a golf day, so every little contribution makes a big difference! Thank you so much for those who have donated the R50 towards the prizes for the events this year. To those who have not yet contributed, there is still time.
It is not only the role of the PA only to fundraise, but also to make the new parents feel welcome and part of St Peter's College. So this is the reason for the New Parents Valentine's Braai. There was a considerable number of new parents who came to celebrate the day of LOVE at the College Café - while the Grade 8s and 9s were celebrating their own Valentine's day in the hall. It was a lot of fun, and I was delighted to have met a lot of new parents. Phones were flashing all night, as parents were actively getting themselves on the St Peter's College Facebook page. I sincerely hope that new friendships made among the parents will last throughout your years at St Peter's College.
Keep well, and God Bless!
