St Peter's Preparatory School for Boys

Introduction

The St Peter's Prep Council commissioned the establishment of a Girls' School which opened its doors to Grade 0 and Grade 1 pupils in January 2006, adjacent to the boys' prep. The school will grow year by year to Grade 7.
The development of the Girls' School means:

The options and convenience of educating boys and girls on one campus.
Monastic (single sex) education.
The opportunity for girls to share close to 60 years of tradition.

The acquisition of new land will ensure that the boys will in no way be compromised by the development of the Girls' School in the boarding house and surrounding area.
To maintain the strong ethos for which the Boys' School is renowned, Mrs Trish Attlee has been appointed Headmistress. Trish has taught at St Peter's since 1998 and has remedial training to support her teaching. A small number of current Boys' School staff accepted the opportunity to transfer to the Girls' School in order to promote the transfer of ethos.
