Saturday Sport Policy
It has been a long-standing arrangement among the Independent Schools to have sports fixtures on some Saturday mornings. This affords working parents the opportunity to attend and support their sons.

Participation in the major seasonal sports is compulsory at under 9 and under 10 level.
From under 11, boys are able to make certain choices in the sports in which participation is not obligatory.
Detailed afternoon programmes are issued at each change
of season and the requirements, in terms of participation, dress and equipment, are stipulated. In particular, dress codes for each sport are clearly defined on these programmes and staff are instructed to enforce these standards at all times. The school shop is able to supply
most of the required items of dress, as laid down in the
dress code.
The afternoon programme is planned so that sports activities for the under 9 and under 10 age groups take place early – 13h45 to 14h45. The boys from under 11 upwards are generally catered for in the later time slot, from 14:45 to 16:00. These times do vary, however, depending on involvement in matches and special practices.
Club Fixtures: school fixtures take precedence over those of external clubs.
