Voice for Life
Voice for Life is designed to help a Chorister discover what his/her voice can do and then to strengthen it. This will also improve their knowledge and understanding of music.
Voice for Life is a course issued and owned by the Royal Schools of Church Music and a school has to be affiliated to the RSCM to be able to offer the course.
The course comprises of four levels:
Light Blue (first level)
Dark Blue (second level)
Red (third level)
Yellow (fourth level)
Choristers need to systematically work through singers work books, corresponding with the different levels. Once the criteria for each level has been satisfied, the Chorister will then be awarded an RSCM medal. The levels passed will be identifiable by the colour ribbon worn with the medal (Light Blue level equals a light blue ribbon).
Voice for Life was started in 2010.
